Temecula Woman Hospitalized in Crash

The 18-year-old was waiting to turn when she was hit by a suspected drunk driver.

An 18-year-old Temecula woman was hospitalized after an alleged drunk driver hit her vehicle.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. on Saturday in the 15800 block of Bernardo Center Drive in Rancho Bernardo, Calif.

The suspect, 38-year-old Brian Larose of Rancho Bernardo, veered into the victim's lane and rear-ended her vehicle, according to Lt. Rick O'Hanlon of the San Diego Police Department's Traffic Division.

The woman, whose name was not yet released, was rushed to Pomerado Hospital with serious injuries to her head and abdomen, O'Hanlon said.

Larose was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and posted bail a short time later.

Nobody else was involved in the incident, O'Hanlon said.
