Temecula's Expanding Medical Community Set To Grow Again

A new project will come before the Temecula Planning Commission Wednesday night.

As Temecula continues touting a broadening medical community within its city limits, another project is up for consideration.

A two-story, 11,982-square-foot medical office building on a 0.92-acre vacant lot located at the northwest corner of Temecula Parkway and Dona Lynora is being proposed for Temecula.

The project will come before the Temecula Planning Commission Wednesday night.

The project is located on its own separate lot within the six-lot Rancho Pueblo Center. Four office buildings and a parking lot already exist within the complex, according to city documents.

The applicant, Danny Broyles, is proposing Mediterranean style architecture and color coordination that complements the other buildings within the center for the new project.

The building, if approved by the commissioners, adds to a growing list of medical projects in the city.

The new 140-bed, five-story Temecula Valley Hospital located at 31700 Temecula Parkway is scheduled to open this fall. It will have all private rooms, a 20-bed intensive care unit (ICU), high-tech surgical suites and an emergency room.

Additionally, Kaiser Permanente submitted a pre-application to the City of Temecula last fall for a 1.2-million-square-foot medical center — including a 250-bed hospital — at the northwest corner of Date Street and Ynez Road.
