5K Turkey Trot and Kids Run
5K Turkey Trot and Kids Run Promises Family Fun at Scenic Vail Lake
Runners of all ages are invited to enjoy a day of fitness and family fun while supporting youth athletics and a local food bank during the 2nd Annual 5K Turkey Trot scheduled for Sunday Nov. 3rd at Vail Lake Resort.
The top three male 5K runners and the top three female 5K runners will each win free holiday turkeys at the professionally timed race at the Vail Lake Resort, 38000 Hwy 79 South in Temecula.

Every runner will receive a race t-shirt and a raffle ticket for one of dozens of prizes. The event will also include a 1-Mile Kids’ Fun Run and all participating kids will receive a race medal.
Sponsored by Rancho Physical Therapy, Global Insurance Marketing Inc., Timmy D. Productions and a host of local businesses, the annual 5K Turkey Trot is being organized by the Murrieta Mesa High School Cross Country Boosters. The event will include numerous booths offering food, entertainment and promotional merchandise.

Turkey Trot participants will receive a bonus raffle ticket for bringing canned and non-perishable food items for donation to the Murrieta United Methodist Food Pantry. The organization provides over 150 meals per week to those in need across Southwestern Riverside County.
Gates will open at 6:45 am on race day with the 5K starting at 8:00 am. 5K registration costs $30 for adults and $20 for students at http://finishedresults.com/mm5k.
Race day sign-ups at the event will cost $35 for adults and $25 for students.
The 1-Mile Kids’ Fun Run begins at 9:00 am. Registration costs $10 for kids 10 and younger.
