Job seekers and career changers will find ways to GET, not HAVE, to go to work, even in a bleak economy. Each six hour long workshop will be an uplifting and motivational journey to discover a career vision to expand the job search, explore careers, identify potential employers, build a resume, analyze job descriptions, utilize local library career and job resources and much more. Libraries hosting a Career Vision 2013 workshop are La Sierra Branch on August 10, Paul Villasenor Branch on August 15, Palm Desert Branch on August 22, Temecula Branch on August 27, Hemet Library on August 29, and Idyllwild Branch on September 5. Career Vision is for everyone, from new grads and the unemployed to the underemployed and retirees seeking to supplement their income, from GEDs to PhDs, from veterans to career changers, and also for professionals who work with the above groups and who would like to gain new techniques and earnsix hours of professional growth. The presenter, Jamie Beck, is a former CSU Career Counselor, has a MA in Human Services with an emphasis in Social Systems and a concentration in Family and Work. Career Vision, a holistic career program, has been reshaping the way job seekers fundamentally conceptualize, search and apply for work for the past 5 years. www.careervisionbyjamie.com.No registration is required and participation is free as space permits. Participants should bring a bag lunch for the six-hour long workshop along with an open mind as they prepare to redefine their connotation of work and be empowered to take control of their job search.
