PFLAG Temecula to Host National Speakers

The Temecula chapter of PFLAG – Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians and Gays – will be hosting what promises to be an inspirational and highly informative speaking engagement by two directors of the organization’s national staff at a special event on Monday, February 25th, at 6:30 PM at The Center for Spiritual Living, Temecula Valley, in Murrieta, California.
Representing PFLAG will be Dr. Steven Krantz, the Director of the Southern Pacific Region and a member of the National Board, and Mr. Cesar Hernandez, the National Field & Policy Manager.
Among his many achievements, in 2011 Dr. Krantz was recognized by the West Hollywood City Council for creating the Los Angeles Youth Advocates Coalition (YAC), a group of 19 gay youth support organizations in Los Angeles County, and in 2009 he received the Vanguard Award from the Gay and Lesbian Administrators Alliance (GALAA) of the LA Unified School District for his service to LGBT youth.
Mr. Hernandez’ experience includes six years of working with numerous LGBT organizations, including those in the public, private and non-profit sectors. He has worked in youth development through HIV Prevention at Bienstar Human Services, a Latino-based community organization in East Los Angeles, and at the LA Gay and Lesbian Center, coordinating efforts for the Men’s Program of HIV Prevention and Community Organizing.
Each of these nationally-known individuals brings a wealth of experience to the issues of the LGBT community and their appearance at this event is expected to be uplifting, motivational and informational. The Center for Spiritual Living, Temecula Valley, is located at 26871 Hobie Circle, Suite A-1, Murrieta, California, 92562. For additional information contact: media@pflagtemecula.org
