Presented by the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, the
up-close-and-personal Intimate Classics series offers locals the chance to
experience chamber music expertly performed in the intimate setting of the
Center Theater. Attendees have the option of completing their theater
experience with a pre-performance gourmet dinner.
Shortly after taking up the saxophone at age 10, Ashu developed a charismatic and moving performance style which has enabled him to win competitions typically reserved for pianists and violinists. The Arizona Daily Star described his playing as "irresistible, sublimely beautiful and mesmerizing."
