MASTER SPLINTER

May 10, 2014
6:00 - 9:00 PM

Master Splinter and the Shredders are quickly becoming a very well respected band amongst all genres of music in southern California. Covering the entire scope of rock, from classic to modern, jazz to pop, blues to metal, latin to funk. MSATS enjoys adapting themselves to playing small intimate clubs to large rock and metal energy concerts. Enjoying what they do is the name of the game…playing it cool to jazz or being wild or full of energy with metal. Fusing their favorite songs and their own originals together makes for a great blend of classic styles with modern elements.

MSATS come from the once quiet town of Temecula, located at the southern border of the beautiful Inland Empire. They began playing at the local Barley and Hops in Temecula as a new outlet of fun for their friends and themselves and before long their name and reputation began to spread quickly like wild fire. MSATS is now a regular name in the city of Temecula, having played and continue to play every venue and bar that is available. From the rowdy rock bars and hip venues, to the classy lounges and high end wineries, MSATS has respectively been able to mold themselves to any demographic.

MSATS was formed by a group of young musicians who played in different music circles around town with the hopes to entertain their small groups of friends. The one show every couple of weeks as an excuse to get together and share good times, has amounted into playing steady shows and touring 3-4 times a week for the last 2 years. While most of the nights are had in their hometown of Temecula between clubs and wineries, MSATS has also ventured to San Diego and Carlsbad and north to Hollywood.

Over a short period of time, they have begun to collaborate and play with many musicians as guest players from the jazz, rock, reggae and pop world such as Jackie Bertone (Tower of Power, Brian Wilson, Third World) who plays frequently on percussion, Samuel Larsen (Glee) another Inland Empire native who shares his vocal and guitar talents, and recently a small acoustic set with Henry Kapono.
