Boys & Girls Club Announces 21st Annual Costume Ball, Dinner & Auction

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest Riverside County is preparing for its biggest benefit event of the year: its 21st annual “Our Kids Rock” costume ball, dinner and auction.

The event will take place Saturday, Oct. 12 in the Pechanga Grand Ballroom at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, according to a news release.

A champagne reception starts at 5 p.m., followed by the main festivities at 6 p.m.

“Last year there were (more than) 600 attendees with city dignitaries, business leaders and community supporters,” stated Beth Soltysiak, director of development for BGCSWC. “This year will also be an exciting and fulfilled evening.

Entertainment will be provided by The Brewer Boys as well as the winners of Boys and Girls Clubs “IDOL 5” singing competition.

BGCSWC, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, serves youth 6 to 18 years old at its clubhouses in Temecula, Murrieta and Lake Elsinore.

The organization has been able to serve more than 14,000 children since 2001 thanks to the "leadership of an exceptionally dedicated board of directors and outgoing staff," Soltysiak said.

“Our clubhouses ensure that all youth in our community have a safe haven where they can access high quality before- and after-school programs,” Soltysiak said. “We couldn’t do it without all of the support we receive through the auction and support throughout the year. Your dollars provide before and after school programs, sports leagues, fun enriching summer activities and leadership programs for teens.”
