County Seeks 'Master Composters' To Teach Locals

Volunteers are needed to help with the county waste department's backyard composting program.

The following is a press release from the County of Riverside:

The Riverside County Waste Management Department is seeking volunteers to work with the Riverside County Backyard Composting Program.

Volunteer "master composters" will attend a training course for four Saturdays, and will then donate back a minimum of 40 hours to the program.

Volunteers are needed for staffing Saturday morning workshops, classroom presentations, and community group presentations.  It's a great way to learn more about recycling organic resources and getting to know others with similar interests!
