Forecast update for the Temecula Valley

Welcome to Fall!

The first day of fall will begin with some mid and high clouds  moving across the Temecula Valley, especially this morning. Otherwise expect partly sunny and hot conditions to continue through Sunday as a retreating warm dome of high pressure keeps on the heat.

Monday a weak trough of low pressure moves into southern California and stays most of the week. Expect a bit cooler days and nights, closer to normal.

Saturday: Some mid and high clouds, especially this morning, then partly sunny, very warm. Light wind ... becoming southwest to 10 mph by afternoon, high near 94 degrees.

Predicted air quality index is: 57.

Tonight: Clear, mild. South wind 10 mph in the evening, low around 64 degrees.

Sunday: Sunny, breezy, very warm. Light variable wind becoming southwest and increasing to 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon, high of about 94 degrees.

Sunday night: Clear, breezy early, mild. Southwest wind 10 to 20 mph in the evening, low near 63 degrees.

Monday: Sunny, breezy, warm. Southwest wind increasing to 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon, high around 86 degrees.

Monday night: Clear early ... then low clouds and fog developing. Mild, low of about 62 degrees.

Tuesday: Low clouds and fog ... then sunny. Warm, high near 85 degrees.
Tuesday night: Clear. Mild, low around 60 degrees.

I'll never complain about the cold again. Has this last month seen a record for sustained heat here in the valley? It sure felt like it. So grateful for the simple things in life that we often take for granted, air conditioning, showers, indoor plumbing, and a sufficient amount of running water. Roll on Autumn.

I agree CB. And not only has it been hot... but unusually humid, too. (And I personally consider AC and hot water to be among the greatest inventions!)

For sure to both of you! There are reasons I don't live in Florida and humidity is the biggest reason!!!
