Backyard Treasure: Temecula Valley Olive Oil Tour

We toured Temecula Valley Olive Oil and walked away with an amazing experience. Check out the video and learn about this local treasure.

When stumbling upon this tour, there was something very intriguing about it. Little did any of us ever guess it would be as fantastic as it turned out to be.

I simply love adventure: embracing the unknown, meeting new friends and becoming more acquainted with others.

Focusing mostly on the fun and necessary logistics -- like, how close can I get it to free? -- making new friends and creating memories. Who has time for the minor details like “precisely” where the facility is located? I kid -- kind of! Those who know me are very familiar with my “Lucy” moments.

Once we arrived and got officially checked in -- another Lucy occurrence by the way -- the olive oil tasting went underway.

We were encouraged to smell the olive oils and taste them straight from tiny cups. I must admit, we were looking forward to the bread that never arrived, but talk about a paradigm shift. We enjoyed citrus-, basil- and garlic-infused olive oils in addition to incredible balsamic vinegars.

The entire experience was truly eye opening. I would not be surprised if each of us are now customers of Temecula Valley Olive Oil for life, especially considering their painstaking process to provide the best, freshest olive oil possible while remaining green and economical.

This is no easy feat. Besides, how often do we have an opportunity to meet a local purveyor of products? Admittedly, those of us in Temecula can become somewhat jaded. Considering the fact that we can visit Winery Row virtually any day of the week.

This is yet another find in our own backyard. I highly recommend their tour and their product which you can purchase online at http://temeculaoliveoil.com or their store conveniently located at 28653 Old Town Front Street.

Now, if only I can get connected with the owner, John Wagoner of Skyrocket Distillers, we’ve all agreed that is a tour we would want to be enjoy. So, if you know the owner or are a rather connected employee, email us at funstufftodointemecula@gmail.com.
