Clarity Out Of Chaos

Ever heard of Divine Dissatisfaction?

Ever heard of Divine Dissatisfaction? I'll share candidly what I mean by it. Each time when faced with a fork in the road there are two options for me. One, agree with the way things are. More accurately resign to the way things are. Don't grow. Stay comfortable. Sit down and shut up. Yeah. Sounds kinda harsh, right? Well, I've come to know that to acquiesce to it is harsher.

Remember the story of the dog howling on the porch? I'm sure you've heard of it. Story goes that there is a farmer that has a beloved dog that constantly sits on the porch howling. A friend of the farmer comes by for a visit. Feeling sympathetic to the howling of the dog he inquires as to the cause. His friend quips, oh ole Rex is laying on a stake. The concerned friend replied, a stake? Well why won't he get up? Farmer says, guess it doesn't hurt bad enough?

The second choice is to commit to change. Massive change! Grow. Develop. Increase. When that decision is made the result is clarity out of chaos.

I believe (don't have scientific data to substantiate) that within each of us is a yearning for order. We want our worlds to align. Congruency. Divine Dissatisfaction is the gnawing feeling that beckons us to do something about it. Here I sit with the gnawing feeling I'm telling you about. Sitting around and living with option number one is not an option I can or will live with. Option two it is! I wrote an ebook awhile back called, Decision Series 1.0 (you can pick it up here for free by entering your favorite email address http://AHugeWinForYou.com/DS1RelationshipStarterPage) In it I discuss the power inherent in making a decision.

The mere step of sharing my decision around option two ignites something that keeping it to myself simply doesn't. I've come to learn that we really are in this life thing together. If not, why do our lives pause and sometimes stop when we hear of our unmet brother or sisters tragedy halfway around the world? Why did the President Of The United States show a vulnerability when holding a press conference regarding the Newtown tragedy? 911? Space shuttle Discovery?

So, what's next? If I were sitting with you and like me you expressed Divine Dissatisfaction, shared you were ready to go forward this would be my suggestion. Sit with your decision for a couple of days. If you have a Daily Practice (which I do) figure out what you want the cover of the puzzle box to look like. Get vivid. Then, like the late, great, Stephen Covey would suggest begin with the end in mind. Break it down into bite size pieces. Delegate the items that you can delegate. Most importantly be excited and begin immediately.
