My Morning Epiphany: Fly Above The Radar

Fly Above The Radar Friday. No blending in with the wallpaper. Claiming my uniqueness. I invite YOU to do the same today

Recently while watching the singing competition show, The Voice a very solid singer was passed over by the coaches. The reason given was there was nothing distinctive about her tonality or phrasing. Continuing that she gave a solid performance however nothing stood out about her. I had to agree with their opinion.

I truly believe that each of us has at least one thing that we are not only good at but great at. Finding, discovering, honing that thing is in my opinion where we receive the most nurturing. If you go back to your natural tendency as a child when limitations were swear words often times you’ll find a seedling that simply needs to be watered. 

Curious. What are some of your first memories in which you were applauded for a job well done?

Society sometimes unfortunately punishes those that resist blending in with the wallpaper or flying above the radar. While other times they are celebrated which is where the term celebrities is derived from. There is no accounting for taste or preference either way. Heck, some people are now celebrated for never having done anything noteworthy. Won't bore you with examples here...I'm sure you have your own. 

Instead of waiting for others to celebrate you, celebrate yourself. Do this by repeatedly practicing flying above the radar sharing your uniqueness with others. Funny thing is when you do this, you give other people permission to do the same.
