Part II of Interview with Rob Hicks of Santa Rosa Plateau

Part II of an interview with Rob Hicks of Santa Rosa Plateau. I appreciate that he has been there 14 years and loves it!

You, like me, are fascinated by the inner workings of things, right?

Well, when I sat down with Rob Hicks, interperter of Santa Rosa Plateau, I was struck by the amount of knowledge and passion that he has.

Admittedly, the vid is a wee bit long. However, I could not cut out anymore, or I would have lost the essence of seeing and sharing with you, him beaming with pride of our hidden gem.

I cut out the history of the Adobe as well as other facets of our brief time together. He is so gracious and earthy in his description of just how valuable Santa Rosa Plateau is.

Many of you may know that I gave up my gym membership and started hiking the plateau. I found my self hiking significantly longer than I ever would travel in doors in an artificial environment.

No offense to the local gyms. I appreciate them, and of course they have their place. For me, being a reformed city slicker, if you had told me that I would hike as long, often and as fast as I do I would not have believed you.

Join us for fun stuff to do in Temecula Murrieta for free to $50. The day pass is only $2 additional if you bring your children or fur babies. The annual pass is $25.

Thanks again Rob Hicks for sharing your passion with us. We appreciate how he, his staff and volunteers maintain and upgrade the Santa Rosa Plateau.
