We Sure Like It
Shakespeare in the Vines delivers again with "As You Like It" Side splitting, suspense-filled action.
Before Facebook coined the "like it" tagline, Shakespeare made the phrase famous with his comedic play, "As You Like It."
From the moment we approached the gates at we felt transported. The massive wrought iron gates. The pillars. View. Scents. All of it! We sure liked it!
Yet another installment of Shakespeare in the Vines theatrical production.
Full disclosure, all that was known about this play prior to attendance was that it is a comedy.
They had me at laughter.
Polled my friends, and they were unfamiliar with the plot as well. This meant we were all going on an adventure together. Commonplace for us TemMurrians.
A few of us popped into Shorty’s Bistro for some great appetizers and a new wine offering they have that has subtle undertones of guava. Yummy! FYI, Shorty’s is open later to accommodate play attendees. Kudos to Mount Palomar for that. Kelly, our server, was incredible.
We also like -- okay LOVE -- that this is a charitable event that subsidizes teacher salaries in local schools.
Imagine: great plot twists, incredible actors and actresses, breathtaking views, yummy food and amazing friends. Need I type more? Oh, and the price of admission to the play $18!
