Original story as follows.

Five days after two women were attacked by a man inside their homes, the  identity of the suspected assailant is yet to be released.

Riverside County Sheriff's Spokesman Deputy Albert Martinez tells Patch that the suspect name is expected to be released "soon."

Meanwhile, the identity of the woman who died from her injuries has been identified as a local resident, according to Martinez.

21-year-old Wilysha Gardner died Thursday after she was attacked around 9 a.m. in the 27000 block of Nellie Court, according to sheriff's reports.

Another woman was attacked just hours later, as she awoke to someone stabbing her, according to the sheriff's department.  The same suspect is believed to be responsible for both attacks.

The identity of the woman who survived the stabbing is not being released.

@ Mary B - not really strange. Completely unrelated. I wouldn't go as far as to speculate much other than the young woman had made previous poor choices. Whether that determined her fate, or not, remains to be seen. However with respect for the family I'd suggest we wait out the info and not speculate.

Another douche bites the dust. Now he gets a free ride in jail; 3 squares a day, medical, dental, free membership to the gym, cable tv... what a waste of tax payers money.

Les Nessman: did I say it was a vacation? No, I said he's getting 3 free squares a day, medical, dental, and gym benefits. How is that saying something stupid when it's true. Douche.
