Poll: Will Supreme Court Uphold Obamacare?

Observer says the justices, sensitive to public opinion, will validate the Affordable Care Act.

If you have tea leaves, get ready to read them.

According to one legal expert, the U.S. Supreme Court will let stand the Affordable Care Act -- aka Obamacare -- after hearing arguments over three days starting today. AARP weighed in as well — both with online articles and friends of the court briefs.

Whether or not you approve of the health law, with its mandate for individual to have insurance coverage, what do you think the court will do?  Read their minds for us.

I hope they rule against it but time will tell.

I think they will rule in favor. The Supreme court is well aware that they are seen as a bunch of partisan hacks despite their above the political fray mantra. The citizens united case alone has turned a large portion of America against the institution. Considering the absolute lack of faith people have in the justices to act in a non partisan way, and with an eye turned toward how they will be viewed by history, I think they'll try and surprise people by using the interstate commerce clause to uphold legality... Then go right back to the same BS we're used to.

OK all you senior citizens of Temecula . Do you want Social Security repealed ... Well do you ?? And why is Social Security any different from so called OBAMA Care. Is Social Security Communist . Is it ? if you feel it is not. Give me a reason, a logical reason , not some U.S. Redneck crap why it is not. Social Security was created by a Democrat Pres FDR. So do you want to repeal that also. You are GOP voters 30 million Americans have NO medical insurance coverage. Its scandalous.s Will you pay for their medical treatment including heart transplants . Kidney dialysis etc. Judging by your selfish attitudes you will not. Oh Yeh ....our SS is communism. Just like the money we borrow from Communist China to pay for WAR. like attacking IRAQ who did not attack the U.S. GET REAL PEOPLE..This is not the world of G.I. Joe. This is the world of APPLE and SAMSUNG(Korean)... instant communications Have a happy day dudes and dudettes. And our corrupt u.S. Gov cannot hide , unless the masses of my fellow idiots (voters) can't press a key board button . Just like a trained monkey ..no disrespect to Monkeys they have 96.4% of our DNA..

I do not see the similarity between social security and obamacare. Maybe you could give us a ration explanation on how they are similar. Social Security was set up as a retirement program, we pay into it every month while we work and when we retire we draw the money back out. How does Obamacare have each of us paying for ourselves? Social Security money was kept separate and had a very healthy bottom line until LBJ decided to rape it. Simple math can show you the amount we pay in over a working career is more than we would take out during retirement, you pay in for 40-50 years and most people only live long enough to take benefits for 10 to 20 years. If they stuck to the original plan it would work, but those who know better than the common man decided to mess with it. Why is it scandalous that everyone does not have medical insurance? I pay for medical insurance every week and my employer pays into it also. I do not use my medical insurance because it does not cover the doctors/practitioners I choose to work with, I pay for my own healthcare. We would all be in better shape if paid our own way. If people knew they had to pay for their healthcare maybe they would take better care of themselves. Take personal responsibility for food choices and abuses. Bottom line the federal government does not have the authority given to it to mandate healthcare or insurance. Read the Constitution!

I think this whole obamacare thing is just another ploy to take from the wealthy and create dependance among the poor. I feel it is unconstitutional. The government has no business worrying about who has healthcare or not.

I think this all Tea Bagger babble....is it required that everybody that drives have car insurance....whine about that...

Ok @galactic cannibal, you're an idiot. Your monkey comment alone shows The very ignorance you are attacking. Reagan economics like it or Love it it worked, less government is Good government. False market regulation with feds In control Of health Insurance companies. Using Young people to subsidize The ridiculous cost Of Obamacare is not The answer. Stiffer laws And regulation voted on by The people state by state to keep Insurance companies competitive And honest is what needs to happen. Obama needs to stop trying to put a feather In his cap And face reality The individual mandate is wrong And needs to be overturned along with rest Of it. Small businesses have to find lawyers to voyage through all The redtape And lingo b/c Of this obamacare as opposed to just handling it themselves. Obama is abusing his power And its sad to see everyone so enamored with his teleprompter speeches give him passes as he makes back room deals And corrupt decisions. I'm neither democrat or republican And to say Obama has been a complete failure is an understatement. To be clear his decisions not bushes ”mess” made him a failure nothing Else.

In the future, historians will talk about obama as the president who did the worst harm to the american way of life. I just hope they also talk about a subsequent president who undid all of the damage and put america back on the right track.

I want to retire and am waiting for OBAMACARE to cover me from 55 to Medicare. Isnt this the only option I got verse paying $1400 a month for med ins from 55 to 65? Dont want to work until 65 been working 33 years...
Susan Marsh April 11, 2012 at 11:16 PM
John, I can understand wanting to retire. If you require continual medical care, I can see how that would be expensive. What I do not understand is why all the healthy tax payers should pay for your care because you want to retire. I am past 55yrs myself, I do not require medicine or regular dr. care because I have taken care of myself; to stay healthy and by paying for my own health care. More importantly, the federal government does not have the power to legislate medical care of health care for the people. We the people have not given them that power. If the majority of U.S. citizens want the federal government to become involved in their medical needs then those people need to get off their butts and work to change the U.S. Constitution and give that power to the federal government. Until then, they need to stay out of our lives and we need to be responsible for ourselves. I think you should have whatever you want, retirement, healthcare, a fishing boat, etc....... You are not entitled to anything, You want it, work for it.
TVOR April 12, 2012 at 01:51 AM
Each person must make arrangements for their own care later in their lives. Why should everyone pay for you to have healthcare? If you haven't made prior arrangements then you will just have to keep working. I don't want to work any more at all, but I realize I must if I want to survive in my old age. I feel for you that you may not have prepared well enough but that is not my problem or the problem of my fellow taxpayers either.

Communism???? Where are you people coming from? Every American deserves health insurance. Trillions can be spent on needless wars, but as soon as someone wants to do something for Americans......SOCIALISM! COMMUNISM!!! The health care reform law is constitutional and should not be overturned.
Susan Marsh April 12, 2012 at 02:34 AM
How do you figure it is constitutional? Show me where in the U.S. Constitution the federal government is given that power. I agree we can stop wasting money on wars. Your health or lack there of is your personal business and your personal responsibility. Every U.S. citizen "deserves" the opportunity to take care of themselves and their families. How you do it is your business. I think I deserve to be tall and thin, that does not make it so.
John Tugger April 16, 2012 at 06:51 PM
OBAMACARE stays passed I want my share of this pie .Simple as that.Johnny boy will be fine in retirement , just wants a huge boat verses a large boat!! I want most of that $1400 a month for retirement toys YO! Take my free or cheap O CARE!!!
TVOR April 16, 2012 at 11:18 PM
If our country had the financial resources to pay for medical care (which is not guaranteed by the constitution) for all of it's citizens (not illegal aliens) then it would be a different story. We simply cannot afford it, period. We are having a very difficult time taking care of the things that ARE constitutionally mandated.
