Pala Chairman Robert Smith REMOVED from Power

Major happenings at the PALA BAND OF LUISENO INDIANS.   An emergency meeting was held on Saturday as detailed by the website PALA WATCH which has posts of the meeting notices, as well as an attempt by the corrupt chairman Robert Smith to ward off the meeting.

From what we gather, it was a good meeting and all items were passed, which would mean that Smith is suspended by vote of the general council.  

WORD from their Rez is that he is being served with papers shortly.  There is an FBI investigation into corruption at PALA.

Pala eliminated 154 of their citizens via disenrollment.   We expect this to be overturned.
