California bans assault rifles. I don't want them due to their destructive power in the wrong hands. Your logic is flawed and your assumptions regarding suicide are wrong. Your obviously biased and not just trying to understand an issue. Admit it.

@Lyn: "California bans assault rifles. I don't want them due to their destructive power in the wrong hands. " I understand your position. ________________________________________________________ "Your logic is flawed and your assumptions regarding suicide are wrong." I'm not sure what you're referring to, but I'm willing to listen to your perspective. ________________________________________________________ "Your obviously biased and not just trying to understand an issue." Yes, I am biased. (I suspect we're all biased to some degree, true?) However, I am willing to understand the issue. And as I just noted, I am willing to listen to your perspective.

Over and over and over again. Someone said it well - trying to have a valid discussion based on something other than repeated talking points with Lyn is like arguing with a potato. He is not interested in learning anything or answering questions - he is only interested in his own preconceived thoughts and no others. Anything that disagrees with his view or which he can't answer is "flawed logic". **** Well, Lyn, I am still waiting for the answer to the question I posed to you many many times and which you have completely ignored. You have no credibility until you answer it. **** If your wish comes true and guns are banned, how are you going to get them out of the hands of criminals? Because they can now be sure the homeowner has no guns, these criminals will feel safe invading your home. How many times do you think they could shoot you while you ask them to hold off and have tea while you call the police to come and protect you? How much harm to your kids? How about your wife - what might they do to her because you have no weapon to protect her? **** Flawed logic? I think that with those questions it becomes very clear who is operating with flawed logic. That is why you have avoided the question every time and will again - or you will dance all around it and never truly deal with it. **** Jeremiah

So much debate over gun deaths etc. We have a right given by the 2nd ammendment to own and posess firearms. A right confirmed by the highest court. Why then are we still being infringed on by our government? I did not hesitate go put my life at risk to serve my country and I would not hesitate to do so to protect our constitutional rights from those who would take them away. I truly hope that never becomes necessary.

As I have said repeatedly, I don't answer inane questions. I favor gun control. I don't believe banning all guns is feasible. I believe that denial of gun deaths or hiding behind the 2nd amendment is not justified. We need to figure out how to fix problems. I am not into ideology. And I am willing to sacrifice some things for the common good. Are you?
