Update: Crash Hospitalizes 93-Year-Old Woman
A crash on Interstate 15 caused two people to be rushed to the hospital -- one who was almost 100 years old.
A 93-year-old woman involved in a crash on Interstate 15 was rushed to a hospital.
The crash was reported at 5:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes just north of Winchester Road. To read the initial report, click here.
A woman driving a Toyota Avalon slammed into the back of a Honda Civic when traffic slowed, and she tried to change lanes, according to CHP Officer Harvey Ray.

The impact sent the Civic careening off the freeway and into some vegatation, hitting another vehicle -- a Toyota Matrix -- along the way, though causing only minor damange.
A sudden slow-down in traffic due to the back up at the Winchester Road offramp was the primary cause of the crash, Ray said.

"Whenever you're driving around this exit, look at the traffic ahead of you," he said. "This is the worst stop-and-go exit we have, and we have collisions here all the time."
A woman in her 20s and the 93-year-old woman were rushed to a hospital. Their condition was unavailable.
After the crash, traffic was gridlocked for more than a mile.
