UPDATED: Body Found In Winchester Mobile Home Fire, Homicide Investigation Underway

The fire was reported Thursday morning in the 33000 block of El Centro Avenue in Winchester.

UPDATE SEPT. 7, 2013: The body of a woman discovered in a fire Thursday morning off Highway 74 has been identified as that of 50-year-old Autumn Kissinger of Hemet, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office. The case is being treated as a homicide investigation and her cause and time of death have not been announced by authorities.

ORIGINAL POST SEPT. 6, 2013: A woman's body was discovered inside a mobile home that caught fire in Winchester, and sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating the death.

The fire was reported about 8:45 a.m. Thursday in the 33000 block of El Centro Avenue, according to the Riverside Sheriff's Department.

Deputies from the Perris station were called to assist Cal Fire regarding a home fire and the woman's body was discovered inside the home as firefighters extinguished the flames, according to the sheriff's department.

The victim's name was withheld pending family notification.
