Burglary Suspect Found Hiding in Bush

One suspect is on the loose after police scoured a neighborhood to capture burglars.

A man who allegedly burglarized a construction rental business was found hiding in a bush by a deputy with a K9.

Jose Zuniga, 31, and Edvin Alvarado, 30, both from Los Angeles, were arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, conspiracy and burglary, according to jail records.

A third suspect in the crime got away and is at large, said sheriff's Sgt. Jon Wade.

A silent alarm went off at 10:08 p.m. Tuesday in the 42500 block of Rio Nedo in western Temecula. When deputies showed up, they found three men burglarizing the business, the sergeant said.

The suspects ran away when they saw the deputies and were spotted slipping behind a business in the 27300 block of Via Industria, Wade said in a written statement.

Law enforcement surrounded neighboring businesses and combed the area. They found one suspect hiding in a bush, and they tracked down the other using a bloodhound.

Investigators are searching for the third suspect. Anybody with information was asked to call the Temecula Police Department at 951-696-3000.
