Camp Pendleton Fire Sends Smoke To Temecula Valley

The blaze was reported shortly after 3 p.m. in the "33 area" of Camp Pendleton.

A small brush fire that was reported at Camp Pendleton Tuesday afternoon has sent smoke across the Temecula Valley.

The blaze was reported shortly after 3 p.m. southwest of Temecula in a portion of the base known as the "33 area." 

According to an update from the base, the 15- to 25-acre blaze poses no threat to personnel or structures.

At last check, Stagecoach Road was closed at Basilone and at the "Y" intersection that goes to Wilcox and the 33 area. 

There is no word on what sparked the fire.
