Klone and her fiancee, Charles Arnstin, also of Alberta, Canada, who was driving the 2014 Harley Davidson, were both rushed to area hospitals following the 12:01 p.m. accident Thursday on Rainbow Canyon Road, approximately a half mile west of Pechanga Parkway, authorities reported.

The coroner's release states Klone was wearing her helmet as control of the motorcycle was lost. The bike flipped and skid across the roadway.

Responding police officers and rescue personnel found the couple lying cross the roadway, both suffering from major injuries.

Temecula police Sgt. John Magnan said emergency personnel were able to gain a pulse from Arnstin before he was rushed to a hospital.

The vacationing couple was believed to have been on a motorcycle tour of parts of Southern California, according to Magnan.

Rainbow Canyon Road near Temecula Creek Inn was closed for about four hours Thursday as traffic investigators with the Temecula Police Department reconstructed the circumstances of the crash to determine what may have happened.

The roadway was slick from rain, which is not being ruled out as a possible contributing factor.

It is not believed that alcohol or drugs were factors, according to Magnan.

Anyone with information that would assist the officers investigating this collision was encouraged to call the Temecula Police Department’s Traffic Division at 951-696-3000.
