Car Stolen in Front of Christian Bookstore

The owner was shopping at Berean Christian bookstore when he came out and found his car missing.

A car was stolen in front of a Christian bookstore, and the owner is asking for the community's help.

Michael Johnson was shopping inside near Promenade Temecula on Saturday. When he came out, his black Chrysler Sebring convertible was missing.

"I was shopping at a Christian bookstore, which makes it totally ironic," he said of the crime.

The worst part of the crime is Johnson had everything he needs for work in that car, he said. "My cellphone, work notebook, and political action committee's campaign material were in my (car)," he said.
