Car Tumbles 50 Feet Off Highway Near Anza

A car tumbled 50 feet over the side off Highway 74 in Anza, and the driver was flown out with major injuries, a fire spokeswoman said Saturday.

The motorist was freed from the wreckage following the single-vehicle crash, reported at 4:13 p.m. Friday on Highway 74 east of Palm Canyon Drive, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

No medical condition was disclosed.
