Smoke may be visible in Temecula from a controlled burn on the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve, an official said.

The burn was scheduled for 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow just north of Monument Hill on the reserve, according to Bill Weiser, a battalion chief with the Riverside County Fire Department.

Sixty-two acres will be burnt as part of a study sponsored by U.C. Riverside, Weiser wrote in a press release.
