Head-on Crash Leaves Temecula Man in Critical Condition

The victim was headed north on I-215 in Menifee when a car going the wrong way hit him.

A Temecula man who got in a head-on crash was listed in critical condition today.

The incident was reported around 4:45 a.m. on the northbound I-215 near McCall Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Stephanie Porras, 22, of Moreno Valley, went south on the freeway’s northbound off-ramp in her 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, according to deputy Ron Thatcher.

The victim, Kyle Amaris, 22, was going about 65 mph in his 2010 Nissan Sentra when he slammed his vehicle head-on into Porras’ Cobalt, the officer said.

He saw Parras’ headlights, but he had little tile to react, the officer said. Both victims were transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, Thatcher said.
