Crash Near School Campus Hospitalizes 3

A truck hit a tree just outside Chaparral High School's campus, and three victims were rushed to the hospital, sheriff's officials say.

A crash near 's campus hospitalized three people today.

The incident was reported at 2:46 p.m. just outside the main driveway leading to the campus.

A Dodge Ram pickup truck sat in the dirt just beyond a curb against a tree with damage to its side shortly after the crash was reported. Skid marks lay in a semi-circle in the roadway leading to the truck's wheels.

Another vehicle, a charcoal colored Mazda Six with rental car stickers in the window sat in the school's parking lot with damage to the front end.

Three people were rushed to a hospital, according to a sheriff's dispatcher.

At least three patrol cars, two fire engines and two ambulances were on the scene. Information on the cause of the crash or the condition of the victims was unavailable as of publication time.
