UPDATE: Crash Traps Horse In Temecula Wine Country

The incident was reported to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department at 8:05 a.m. Monday at Glen Oaks Road and Camino Del Vino.

8/27 UPDATE at 9:57 a.m.: A truck driver towing a horse trailer crashed off the side of the road and down an embankment in Temecula Wine Country.

The incident was reported to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department at 8:05 a.m. Monday at Glen Oaks Road and Camino Del Vino.

The driver and horse escaped with minor injuries, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.

It took more than an hour to free the horse because Hagemann said the trailer was in a precarious position.

"I don't think the horse is injured too badly," she said.
