Driver Killed After Vehicle Plunges Off Highway 79

The vehicle, which unconfirmed reports say was a Toyota Tacoma, went off the side of the road and landed about 100 feet down an embankment.

A driver whose vehicle plunged off Highway 79 early Wednesday morning was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities are reporting.

The solo-vehicle crash was reported to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department at 12:15 a.m., just east of Sage Road in Aguanga, according to a report from Cal Fire spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.

The vehicle, which unconfirmed reports say was a Toyota Tacoma, went off the side of the road and landed about 100 feet down an embankment.

As of 3:16 a.m., crews were still working on the scene.

The identity of the driver is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

There were no reports of additional injuries and CHP has not reported a road closure as of press time.

Again??? My friend Danny died last week on the 79 and now someone else?!? My heart goes out to the family and friends of this person.

Jesus, not again! I thought when I saw this in my email news alert it was Danny's getting repeated by accident :/ Good God, Rip young man and look up Danny up there flying with the angels :)
