Fallbrook Woman Missing, Marine Arrested

A 22-year-old woman was last seen with a Camp Pendleton Marine, who was arrested during the weekend on an unrelated gun charge.

A 22-year-old woman last seen in Fallbrook may have fallen victim to foul play, according to a homocide investigator.

Brittany Dawn Kilgore was last seen on Friday night dressed up for a night on the town, and a security guard found her cell phone in the Gaslamp Quarter of Downtown San Diego, San Diego Sheriff's homocide Lt. Larry Nesbit told the North County Times.

"We believe there is a strong likelihood Brittany is the victim of foul play," Nesbit told the paper.

She was last seen with Louis Ray Perez, 45, a Camp Pendleton Marine who was wanted on suspicion of stealing an AR-15 rifle, a military weapon. Perez was found and arrested as part of that unrelated investigation during the weekend.

A friend last saw Kilgore at 5 p.m. in a dark purple evening gown with a glittery floral pattern. She is about 5-foot-8, 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anybody with information on her whereabouts was asked to callsheriff's Detective Brian Patterson at 858-974-2321.

First of all, the Marine is the prime subject. They are simply charging him for the weapons so they can gather more info before they charge him with the wife's disappearance. Secondly, the worst thing a woman can do is marry a marine - you know those guys who are desensitized to killing other people and are brought up in a culture that glorifies and rewards killing - and cheat on that marine. It's playing Russian Roulette and this girl may have found out the hard way.

@ Full Names, I can't believe I'm even responding to this ridiculous post! But here it goes, for all the thousands of Marines who have died protecting your right to believe and say what you just posted, you are welcome!

I know you want to live in a bunny-kitty world where everyone is nice and peaceful, but wake up already. have you noticed the middle east in the last few hundred years? Or how about Africa or North Korea? The reality is that in our world we need soldiers, and yes they are taught how to kill - they kill to defend themselves, but mostly to defend our nation and...people like you. I don't want to even imagine what it would be like here if we did not have them defending our country. Have you seen what some of the women and children go through in Africa and the middle east? Think before you say such awful things. Also, they are not rewarded for killing only for defending - there is a difference, and it is not easy for them to kill others. It is a sacrifice they make for us at home. I am proud of our military - without them we would not be where we are today and we would constantly live in fear because think of all the countries that would love to take over the US...the big, beautiful and resourceful US.

Horrible story and I pray she is ok, but its doubtful. Marines like anyone else are capable of committing a crime of any kind. Even kidnap, rape and murder. Just like any person we hold in high esteem, police, firemen, politicians, etc. No one is above being an animal. Dating now adays is taking your life into your hands and you don't know someone on a "date" even if you have known them 5 years as a acquaintance. Meaning that on a date if you tell him NO, he goes ballistic or doesnt stop, then knows he will get in trouble with his command, and then go to any extreme to cover up his tracks including murder. Military people are the worst for doing a crime and making sure there is no one left to talk about it as they want that retirement and fear a dishonorable discharge. Its a crazy life, a whole different world being military and what they hold dear and means the most to them. AT the sake of someone elses life even as might be the case here. I sure hope there is no fowl play but with the border right there, there are many scenerios.

you are contradicting yourself...the first part makes sense, but the police, firemen, and politicians have their career and retirement to protect as well.

anyone can do a crime it doesnt have to be a marine. no one knows the story. no one was there. you guys know 50/50 of it. and jump to conclusions to finish up the rest. this is just crazy!

My bad Lisa, should have included them also. Courtney, some people will think if someone is military, police, or firemen they are safe(r)with them. Women tend to believe its a safe date because these men are in those positions, when they are just as capable of the same horrific crimes. If they/he/she did do this murder you are right, they are innocent until proven guilty. San Diego Detectives are GOOD at what they do, and obviously at least one of these two had something to do with it, by directing police to the body, That alone makes it easy for us to think at least one is guilty, or both, or if you prefer a suspect. This is a very sad case for this young woman and her family and friends. I have 5 daughters, and even the 27yr old, I still warn constantly bout her safety, even having a boyfriend, when she goes anywhere alone. You can never be careful enough. If someone runs into your car, be sure to pull over into a well populated area. If your car breaks down, do not get out until police, family/friend/tow truck have gotten to you. But even with a tow truck driver be sure to let someone know he has picked you up and is towing your car, and the driver knows that others know. There was a case of a tow truck driver.......:/ Sorry giving theOle Mom advice. and I wish I could be a fly on everyones shoulders whispering to be careful of this and that, rinse and repeat. Too many innocents being killed. :/

Whatever the kid was in to she didnt deserve to die. The problem with our society is that we reward these gremlins with a life in prison. Yes its prison, but it is a life and we pay for it. If these f****** knew they were going to be shot, hung or fried for doing this s*** then it would happen less becuase there would at least be an equal fear of losing ones life and not just bunking up with thier new butt buddy. When these parasites get caught and we know it was them that did it, they need to be executed immediately. This is how we add clorox to the gene pool and put fear in the hearts of the otherwise fearless.

A few questions.....maybe at trial we will find out. Victim was last seen with 45 yr old marine on Friday night. At some point over the weekend she went "missing" to someone. Police do NOT respond to anyone missing that fast. By the time they DO, someone is already found alive or foul play. So my questions really are, what made this missing person case get Detective attention IMMEDIATELY? They tell you make a report in 48 hrs, but this case appears to have been worked almost immediately and through the weekend. 1. Who reported her missing, and with the marine? Where, who, when, over the weekend? Over the weekend they just happen to pick up THE marine for suspicion of stealing the AR15? 2. At some point police tied the marine to the young girl. How? The police on Sunday I believe, make a statement they believe she is a victim of foul play. Search starts in N. SD. Then early Monday morning they arrest this other young woman. 1. How did this young woman come into play and charged with murder? The marine? They were looking in North SD prior to this girls arrest, she talks, and then hightail it to Lake Skinner where the body is found immediately. 2. SD Detectives got the exact location of the victims body out of the girl apparently, as opposed to the male maybe gving a vague area of North County. Why did he/she/they possibly murder this young vibrant woman? :/ God bless her family, friends, fold them in your arms and help them heal through this devastation.

You disgust me Full Namez! If you were any kind of a Patriot and volunteered to defend your Country you would be so LUCKY to one of the Few, One of the Proud, A Marine!

Lisa Scott your world-view is that of a child or a Fox News viewer. Our military is mis-used especially when we invade countries so oil companies can reap billions in profits. The constant rhetoric of 'protecting our freedom' from a bunch of rag-heads is easy to sell when simpletons like you lap it up. It's criminal when thousands of American troops die and the Treasury is drained while a few at the top get rich with their politician whores.
ike April 21, 2012 at 03:45 PM
Stanely - really the oil theory is getting old and has been disproven over and ever again. Take off your blinders. I know someone that has seen the mass graves in Iraq for himself. I think people like you don't like to think that the world is evil because they can't handle it...again bunny-kitty world. Don't worry we got it covered. You just keep living in your idealistic world, up in the clouds smoking marijuana with the rich Hollywood snobs. Your reality is off. I bet you think that we plotted 9/11. Who is the real child here - your beliefs are not based on facts, only silly rumors. By the way, they are not rag-heads. They are people like you and me. Maybe when you see this you will realize why we went over there. I thought bleeding liberals had hearts?
