Temecula police set up a perimeter Wednesday near Iron Bark Court and Yukon Road in an effort to apprehend a suspect wanted on a felony warrant.

A man wanted on a felony warrant allegedly alarmed residents of a Temecula neighborhood Wednesday.

A resident on Iron Bark Court, a cul de sac off of Yukon Road west of Margarita Road and north of Rancho California Road, told Patch it was about noon when he saw a man "try to crawl under his garage door."

"I said I'm dialing 911," said the resident who wished to remain anonymous. "He left and disappeared."

"He wasn't necessarily trying to break into houses," Spivacke said. "He was trying to get away from us."

One neighbor described the suspect as a stocky white male with dirty blond hair wearing blue shorts and black boots.

The neighbor who saw the man try to enter his garage said the suspect claimed to have a 7-year-old daughter and did not want to be caught by police.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspect may call the Temecula Police Department at 951-696-3000.
