A small fire at Kohl’s on Temecula Parkway that broke out late Friday morning was quickly contained, a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman reported.
The blaze was reported at 11:34 a.m. at the 4,000-square-foot department store, according to a report from spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.
When firefighters arrived, they reported smoke coming from the roof, but the blaze was knocked down by 11:46 a.m. and was contained to a solar panel and insulation, according to Hendrickson.

Sixteen firefighters, three engines, and one truck were called to the store located at 32085 Temecula Parkway in Redhawk.
There were no reported injuries. As is standard protocol, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
