A fire that blackened 25 acres of brush, destroyed at least two buildings and one vehicle and injured three residents was fully contained Wednesday afternoon, fire officials said.

The fire was reported just before 1 pm. at Wellman and Terwilliger roads, according to Jody Hagemann, information officer for Cal Fire.

It took 75 firefighters, assisted by four air tankers and two helicopter crews, about three hours to contain it. Full control was expected by 11 p.m., Hagemann said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

Sounds like the forward progress has been stopped and they have some heavy mop up to do.
