A fire in Sage -- just outside Temecula -- today destroyed a single-family home, displacing a family of six -- injuring one person and scorching two acres of brush, officials said.
The blaze on Newby Road -- near De Portola Road -- was reported at noon, according to Cal Fire's Jody Hagemann.

The spread of the fire was stopped at 1:45 p.m., Hagemann said, but firefighters were expected to stay on scene for awhile to extinguish hotspots.
