A predawn fire swept through a vacant home Monday in Sage and destroyed it, a spokeswoman said.
Firefighters received a call at 4:54 a.m. and went to the 42800 block of Obrien Road, where flames engulfed the single story home, according to a report from Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.
No injuries were reported, but Hendrickson reported the home was destroyed.
A cause behind the fire was under investigation. Firefighters remained at the scene for several hours Monday, Hendrickson said.
