Fourth Arrest, Release in Three Months

An alleged drug dealer and mugger was arrested and released for the fourth time this year.

An alleged Temecula drug dealer was arrested and released on bail for the fourth time in three months.

Bradley Mrkvicka, 22, was arrested Friday on suspicion of possessing narcotics, possessing marijuana for sale and strong-arm robbery. He was released the same day on $40,000 bail, according to jail records.

He was arrested four times so far this month.

He was arrested on suspicion of grand theft burglary on Jan. 13 and released on $10,000 bail, according to the record.

The next day, he allegedly threw a wild party at his house on the 32000 block of Via Destello. A deputy on patrol heard the loud music, knocked on the door and smelled marijuana smoke. Deputies found marijuana, cocaine, prescription drugs and paraphernalia and a lot of cash in small bills, according to the sheriff’s department.

He was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale and for lying to officers, according to records.

He was arrested on suspicion of mugging a man as he sat in his parked car near a bank about a month later.

He and another suspect, Joshua Moon, 21, of Temecula, allegedly pulled the victim’s door open and demanded his wallet in front of Wells Fargo at 27630 Ynez Rd.

The man refused, so one of the suspects punched him several times in the face. The two suspects took his wallet and drove away, but a witness got part of the license plate number and reported the crime.

Minutes later, deputies on patrol spotted the suspects, pulled them over and arrested them, according to the sheriff’s department.

Mrkvicka was released the same day on $25,000 bail.

Mrkvicka’s co-defendant, Moon, was held without bail and pleaded not guilty a few days later. He’s still being held at the Southwest Detention Center.
