A French Valley man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of raping an unconscious acquaintance in Fallbrook.
Detectives arrested 28-year-old Fidel Perez Bernal at his home in the 31000 block of Silex Court in the French Valley area of Winchester about 7:30 a.m., according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Jose Montion.
The alleged rape occurred Jan. 13 in San Diego County, according to Montion, who declined to say more about the crime.
Bernal was booked on suspicion of two counts of sexually assaulting an unconscious person and locked up in Vista in lieu of $150,000 bail, pending arraignment scheduled for Friday afternoon.
