House Fire in Temecula Displaces 4

The fire broke out Wednesday night and was quickly doused 20 minutes later.

A fire in the bedroom of a Temecula home left four female occupants homeless, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The blaze was reported at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday and happened in the 32700 block of Freesia Way. Firefighters contained the fire within 20 minutes later, Riverside County Fire Department spokesman Mark Annas said.

Annas said the four occupants were displaced and received help from a local American Red Cross chapter.

One person at the scene was taken to a hospital for treatment of an undisclosed minor injury but Annas did not specify whether the person was one of the residents.

The fire was under investigation.
