House Fire Reported Near Lake Skinner

The cause of the blaze is unknown at press time.

A 3,000-square-foot home was up in flames Friday evening, but all occupants escaped safely, a fire official confirmed.

The blaze reported at approximately 6 p.m. broke out at a residence in the 37200 block of Benton Road, near Tucolata Hills Road, in unincorporated area just east of Temecula, according to a report from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.

“All occupants safely escaped the structure prior to fire department arrival,” Hagemann reported.

Forty-two firefighters have been on scene battling the blaze in the rural community located near Lake Skinner, according to Hagemann’s report.

The cause of the blaze is unknown at press time.

Our friend drove by that on his way home from our house....said it was burning for over 10 minutes that he was there and there was still no fire dept present. Wh knows how long it was burning before he got there because he said the structure was nearly gone whe he arrived...hmmmm..arson?
