House Fire Reported Near Lake Skinner

The cause of the blaze is unknown at press time.

A 3,000-square-foot home was up in flames Friday evening, but all occupants escaped safely, a fire official confirmed.

The blaze reported at approximately 6 p.m. broke out at a residence in the 37200 block of Benton Road, near Tucolata Hills Road, in unincorporated area just east of Temecula, according to a report from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.

“All occupants safely escaped the structure prior to fire department arrival,” Hagemann reported.

Forty-two firefighters have been on scene battling the blaze in the rural community located near Lake Skinner, according to Hagemann’s report.
