Arrested for "making terrorist threats" - I've seen this twice now in arrest reports. Would seem to me this is some new broad catch-all giving liberal arrest authority. It would seem to me to diminish what most of us actually think of "terrorist" activity. Anyone know specifics of the acts causing arrests as posted here?

Making "Terrorist" Threats should be labeled Making Criminal Threats as it better describes what the crime is. It's listed under section 422 of the Penal Code: Any person who willfully threatens to commit a crime which will result in death or great bodily injury to another person, with the specific intent that the statement is to be taken as a threat, even if there is no intent of actually carrying it out, and thereby causes that person reasonably to be in sustained fear for his or her own safety or for his or her immediate family's safety.
