A man who was arrested after allegedly sexually battering a woman in the dressing room of a mall store was released from jail Friday.
At about 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Temecula police responded to a report that a woman in her early 40s was in the dressing room of Hollister at The Promenade when a man entered her stall and grabbed her in a sexual manner as she undressed, police said in a news release.
"After being grabbed, the victim screamed and the suspect fled the store into the mall," said Temecula police Sgt. Decker. "Witnesses called 911 and officers...responded to the area within minutes."
The suspect, later identified as 57-year-old Leonard Rudzinski, was located and positively identified by witnesses, according to the sergeant.
Rudzinski was arrested and booked into Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of misdemeanor sexual battery. Jail records show he was released from custody Friday morning.
The victim was not injured during the incident, police said.
Anyone with additional information was encouraged to call the Temecula Police Department at 951-696-3000.
I wonder one thing. Dressing rooms when slamming shut behind us automatically lock at stores. IF that did not happen I would be pretty upset with the great ole Hollister and get a chunk of change because that man walking in there and doing that must have scared her near to death. I know it would have me. Glad they caught this guy and it doesnt even surprise me anymore what people will do these days after this mornings killings of children.
So someone can smear a wonderful mans name without cause, and is labeled a victim without injury? Sad.
I remember standing there making sure no one walked in on my girls there. I do however believe that customers at most other stores with doors have to get a attendant with a key to let them in. Years ago when I was young and went into young girl stores they would have one big room with a curtain we all went into. Now that was a big embarrassing but certainy insures no men would go in.
That they need locked doors, dressing rooms should be seperate for men and women ie mens in mens clothes area and womens in womens, dressing room attendant at all times even if they are kept busy by folding undergarments, doing stock, answering phones, tagging merchandise. Things they would normally do up on the floor or in the back stock room. A lawsuit does not have to be about money but putting a change to something that will prevent the same thing from happening to another innocent victim. This man could have gotten away with alot more if he had a strip of duct tape with him AND that scary.
Now that is funny!
Remeber the boy camping at Oceanside beach I believe and he went into the bathroom, his Aunt was outside, and a man went in and slit his throat, walked out. Then the grandmother after a bit wondered what was taking him so long went in and found him? Also the little girl in Vegas that happened to was a while back. But it must still happen just not news worthy perhaps with the Worse crimes going on against people. This man really had juevos gotta tell you, and where was all the super skinny model hot super boy guys who are out on the floor flirting? Couldnt dirty themselves with grabbbing the guy off her or grabbing her before he got out of the store?
