Man Attempts Robbery at Temecula Convenience Store

The incident reportedly occurred Friday night at a store in the 30000 block of Temecula Parkway.

A suspect left empty-handed after attempting to rob a Temecula convenience store Friday night, police said Saturday.

The suspect reportedly entered the store in the 30000 block of Temecula Parkway at 10:39 p.m. and demanded money from the cash register. While the suspect attempted to remove the money from the register, a brief struggle ensued between the clerk and the suspect, according to police.

No money was taken from the store and no weapon was seen during the incident, according to police. Officers searched the area with the assistance of a police helicopter, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Employees at the store described the suspect as a 6-foot-1, 200-pound white male about 25 years old with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt, black socks and dark shorts.
