Man Dies In Early Morning Crash

The crash was reported at 12:48 a.m. near the intersection of Paula and Los Caballos roads just outside Temecula.

A man was killed early today when the vehicle he was driving overturned and pinned him beneath the SUV, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 12:48 a.m. near the intersection of Pauba and Los Caballos roads just outside Temecula, according to California Highway Patriol Officer Ron Thatcher.

The white Ford Expedition was speeding south on Pauba Rd when it overturned and ended up on its side, pinning the driver, Thatcher said.

The driver died at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of family but the SUV is registered out of Temecula.
