Man Faces Charges of Throwing Girlfriend from Truck

A man arrested for allegedly throwing his girlfriend from a moving vehicle is free on bail today.

A man arrested on suspicion of throwing his girlfriend from a moving vehicle was free on $2,500 bail today.

Daniel James Wallace, 47, faced charges of misdemeanor battery and is set for arraignment in April, according to jail records.

The incident happened around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday on Winchester Road near Ynez Road, according to a dispatcher. Witnesses told a deputy the man threw the woman from his red 1996 Ford truck while driving.

The woman ran to the side of the road where a deputy found her. She said she wanted to press charges, so another deputy found and arrested Wallace in a nearby store, Temecula Pawn, a deputy on the scene said.

Wallace posted bail later that day, according to jail records.
