Man to Stand Trial on Charges of Sex With 13-Year-Old

A judge decided evidence was sufficient to try a 20-year-old man for sex with the young teen.

A Temecula man accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl will stand trial, a judge decided today.

Evidence is sufficient to try Shiloh Gilbert Bovyluster, 20, Judge Dennis A. McConaghy said.

The man allegedly had sex with the girl at his apartment on Temecula Parkway, according to testimony today.

On March 30, the sheriff’s department got a call from Rancho Damacitas, a group home for children in Temecula, Deputy Edward Harding testified.

The girl, whose name Patch withheld due to her age and the nature of the incident, told the deputy she met him while living in the group home when she was 11 years old. The girl ran away and had sex with the man at his home, the deputy said.

Caseworkers tracked her to a store in Temecula, but she refused to return, said Jeff Zimel, Bovyluster’s attorney.

“They finally cornered her in a store, and she locked herself in the bathroom,” he said.

The girl told caseworkers about having sex with the suspect while being loudly scolded for running away, Zimel said.

The deputy took the girl to the apartment where she identified the suspect, and he was arrested, the deputy said.

The defendant is being held on $50,000 bail.
