Motorcyclists Injured in Winchester Crash

Two people were thrown from their bike when they rear-ended a car, officials say.

Two people riding one motorcycle were injured when they rear-ended a car, a sheriff's official said.

The crash was reported around 8:45 p.m. Thursday night at Leon and Scott roads in Winchester.

The crash caught local residents by surprise. "What I hear was a lock-up, a smash, I came out, saw lights everywhere… I ran out here as quick as I could," said witness Mark Richards, according to SWRNN.

The woman driving the stricken car, a blue Hyundai Sonata, was uninjured, according to sheriff's Sgt. Victor Tejeda.

The motorcycle riders were rushed to a hospital. Their condition was unavailable today. Drugs or alcohol are not considered factors in the crash, Tejeda said.
