Motorist Dies in Winchester Crash

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the Sunday evening crash.

A motorist who was killed in a crash involving another vehicle in the Winchester area of Riverside County was from San Diego, authorities said Monday.

Mark Buckton, 41, died at the scene of his injury, which occurred about 5:30 p.m. Sunday on state Route 79 north of Stratton Road, the Riverside County Coroner's Bureau reported.

According to the preliminary investigation, Buckton was driving a car that collided with another vehicle at the location, the coroner's bureau reported. 

The crash was being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.

@KMA, I know. I am offering a suggestion to fix the needless drunk driving related deaths. You can get anywhere in town round trip for less than $40 bucks.

@KMA There are a number of recent cases locally where the DUI driver has been charges with murder. Some of these have gone to trial. One local woman got 14 year in state prison. ~~~~~ These were usually not the first DUI offense. They call it second degree murder usually.

James Robert Thrasher is the name of the man that killed Mark. He's free on bail. How is that fair?? Oh, and btw, this isn't his first incident.
