Apparently, after the crime happened, a nearby resident spotted someone leaving the house.  That person called cops to tell them they were following the suspect, and provided a location, according to police.

"A short time later officers located and arrested the suspect in a nearby shopping center," the sheriff's statement read.

The names of both the victim and the suspect were being withheld because of the ongoing investigation, authorities said.

"All parties are known and there is no one outstanding at this time," sheriff's spokesman Deputy Albert Martinez told Patch.
